Name: KINTSU is a shortened, Latin alphabet spelling of the word kintsugi - a Japanese traditional craft of using gold to mend broken ceramics, highlighting the beauty of imperfections that make ceramics and porcelain pieces more valuable.
Positioning Statement: Kintsu is for those who know. Kintsu is where threads of modernity are woven into tradition, where ingredients speak louder than words, and the setting is a refined celebration of culture.
Concept Statement: KINTSU is a Japanese fine dining restaurant that relies on tried and true technique, quality ingredients, and a sprinkle of new age flair. Every dish is an homage to tradition with a kiss of the present and flawless execution. The restaurant infuses modern minimalistic design with cultural elements, creating a space as beautiful and refined as the food itself.
LOGO DESIGN:
Final logo is inspired by the Japanese cultural art of kintsugi and is drawn to look like mended gold cracks in a plate. Wordmark is the kanji spelling of KINTSU, the background graphic can be used for debossing or subtle backgrounding on KINTSU collateral such as business cards, menus, paper sheets, etc.
