I owe my interest in Design to my third grade teacher and our school district’s theater production coordinator Ms. U. who saw me doodling in the audience and asked if I wanted to design posters for the Theater Department. That was the Fall of my high school Junior year and the rest, as they say, is history.
Designing posters for student theater productions taught me how to convey the gist of a play or musical in one compelling image, how to sort through decisions about which plot aspects to highlight in the design, and how to create posters that make potential theater goers in town want to see a high school theater production — the skills I now use when working with clients on logo design and brand identity.
