This vessel was inspired by fungi growing on decaying trees found on my hikes through Hillside Woods. Fungi feed on organic matter and grow on decaying tree trunks. In this piece, I imagined toxic chemicals leeching into the forest floor causing fungi to turn bright yellow, glowing on a dying brown tree trunk.
